I’m Christopher Alga, a Costa Rica photographer with more than 18 years of professional experience. I work with international publications, brands, agencies, NGOs and organizations that need photography produced locally, from editorial portraits and commercial campaigns to documentary reporting and conservation fieldwork.
Working nationwide, I bring first-hand knowledge of Costa Rica’s locations, weather and production realities. I can support assignments with location research, scouting, access, bilingual coordination and local crew while keeping the photography focused on real people, places and context.

Do you work with international clients?
Yes. I regularly work with publications, agencies and brands planning assignments from outside Costa Rica.
Where in Costa Rica do you work?
Nationwide, including San José, Guanacaste, Arenal, the Pacific coast, the Caribbean and remote natural areas.
Can you help with location scouting and permits?
Yes. Depending on the project, I can help with location research, local coordination, access and production logistics.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible for productions involving remote locations, permits, multiple subjects or additional crew. Last-minute assignments are possible when my schedule allows.
