During the 2026 coffee harvest in Tarrazú, I continued documenting coffee production in collaboration withCoopetarrazú, one of Costa Rica’s most established cooperatives. Working at elevation under rapidly shifting mountain weather, I photographed early morning harvest routines, selective hand-picking, processing methods, and environmental portraits of the people behind the crop.

The project explores the intersection of tradition and transition, the manual labor that has defined Costa Rican coffee for generations, alongside the sustainability and traceability initiatives shaping its future. It forms part of a long-term body of work examining coffee culture and agricultural change across Costa Rica.
