Managing Condensation Between Air-Conditioned Spaces and Rainforest. During a photography workshop in Costa Rica, I repeatedly faced foggy lenses whenever I transitioned from cool interiors to the humid outdoors. Early on, I lost hours waiting for lenses to clear, realizing this was a common problem for photographers in tropical climates.

As a Costa Rica photographer, I now place my gear in airtight bags when moving between environments and let it acclimate slowly. Even a few minutes of preparation can prevent condensation and keep my shooting schedule on track.

My advice? Always allow time for your gear to adjust to temperature changes. Based on my experience, doing photography in Costa Rica requires thinking ahead to prevent environmental challenges from interfering with your creative workflow.
